I have BMW e39 from Japan. Earlier, when I purchased the PIBUS board from Peter, I faced the same problem, I sent him the log files and I added the address to the PIBUS module that sends my head unit.
I have an Reslers ibus interface, and an installed NavCoder. I can read the IBUS commands of each button and send them to you in ready form.

Ok, i am download now. 
But in this time, i used OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20180502 with iBUSCommunicator 1.3.6.

osmc version is a bit tricky to use with pibus. you have to disable gettyservice.

I have only Raspbery Pi 2 Model B.

-With plugin.script.ibuscommunicator-1.3.6j problem is same, MODE button dont work, but push clock button on 16:9, the video switched to OSMC.

do you see the cd changer screen by using mode button?
