I have similar problem.
Sometimes RPI doesn't shutdown. Car goes to sleep but RPI red led is on.
OSMC doesn't start then and I need to unplug and plug again to restart.

It was happening from time to time, now it happens almost everytime just even restart doesn't help and I need to reinstall.
Thought that my SD card is going bad and corrupts everytime. Bought new SD card and same problem. After reinstall I boot it in car and everything works.
And next start up it doesn't boot anymore and RPI stays on. Green led flashes at the start for few times and done. Nothing happening.

Made all updates. It worked for a week and started doing again.
It stopped working yesterday. I have that card not reinstalled. Do you know how to get logs out of it under Windows and which logs should I get to see what's wrong?

And while air is cold now (below 5C) first time starting it would show sad face or boot up, but throw errors about ibuscommuncator and something else. And it's not working. Both times need to restart it.

Edit: but my video module was acting strangely and died. Today I got "new" one. Maybe that might be the case. Tho I hadn't OEM menu it still would output RPi view.

I have no idea as well. But it's not an issue. It's cheap replacement. Already did.
So now RPI works and doesn't corrupt card. For at least last two weeks.
But it still doesn't boot up sometimes. I need to restart it 1-2 times before it boots up.
While my Video module is working I can't switch to RPI when it's stuck. But I guess it shows sad face or home screen but there was that ibus addon error and it's stuck.

Where I can find logs for osmc and that addon?

When it doesn't boot up then it doesn't shutdown. That's why my battery was discharging.
