Hello Harryberlin, sorry for the delay, i made a lot of test to be sure about the bug i stated and i can confirm the following :

- up to 1.3.6g, the ibuscommunicator menu looks good in French, with the accent on the special characters
- from 1.3.6h and later, all the characters with accent are missing completely, even on the latest 1.3.6p

It isn't a big deal, but it does look really strange and so that you get what i mean, there are 2 pictures, first is 1.3.6g and the second is 1.3.6p :





Any idea what could cause that strange behavior ?

yes, i remember that file, i did a proper French translation if you remember : http://www.bmwraspcontrol.de/board/showt...51#pid8051

And i was already facing these accent issues at that time if you look in the same thread at page 4, using the same file.
Something changed from 1.3.6g to the newer version somehow..

the file was overwritten, from my excel exported file.
will take some time to import the .po in my excel.
the excel macro creates the string.po.

I can redo the translation in the new file structure, that's no issue, but it still doesn't explain why the special accent on some characters aren't displayed in the menu
